This post is a little different than most of my posts, but I was just so excited about this announcement that just a quick post on social media didn’t seem like enough.
I’m so happy to announce that I have partnered with Sandals and Beaches resorts to become a Certified Sandals Specialist. This means that I am your go-to for information and booking of one of their many all-inclusive resorts. Now if you are like I was, you are familiar with these resorts enough to know they are inclusive Caribbean resorts, but not really much more than that. Well, I am now a wealth of info that I can’t wait to share! This post is just a snippet of info on what makes Sandals and Beaches a vacation that you will never forget.
Sandals vs. Beaches
The first question is naturally: What is the difference between Sandals and Beaches resorts?
Sandals: Adult only vacations
All of these resorts have their own personalities, unique designs, and unbelievable amenities, but the difference between the two brands is that Sandals is for adults only, while Beaches is for the whole family. It is a common misconception that Sandals is the “honeymoon” resort, but that isn’t quite true. While honeymoons are very popular at these resorts, they are also a fantastic option for ‘girls’ trips, bachelor/bachelorette parties, couples retreats, or even just a great reason to get away on a quiet (or not so quiet) retreat from the kids!
Beaches resorts are fun for the whole family!
Beaches on the other hand are built for family fun! Including everything from Sesame Street characters and kids clubs, to teen-only nightlife, there is something for everyone no matter what their age. Whether you are traveling with your small family or taking a large multi-generational family vacation, there is a Beaches resort that is right for you!
All-Inclusive Means ALL-Inclusive
So, what exactly is included in the rates?
When Sandals and Beaches say their rates are all-inclusive, they aren’t kidding. While many Caribbean hot spots call themselves all-inclusive, they fail to mention (or mention in very small print) some of the hidden fees or ‘upgrade’ costs. Not these resorts. Can I expect the same ‘brand standard’ amenities at every resort?
While all Sandals and Beaches live up to the same high standards, they don’t all have the same ‘brand standard’ amenities. Every resort has its own personality and amenities, so you are sure to find a resort that matches YOUR travel personality. Whether you are looking for a quiet retreat or bumpin’ nightlife, when you tell me about your needs I’ll match you to the right resort. The best part is, in many locations, you can take advantage of reciprocity with neighboring Sandals resorts*. That way you can enjoy that quiet get-away but can head to a reciprocal resort for a night out at no additional charge! It’s like having 2 resorts in one!

The choices can almost feel unlimited! There are tons of different room types, from Deluxe King rooms to Swim-Up Luxury Suites, even villas with your own personal plunge pool and butler service! No matter what style of room or level of personal service you are looking for, you can feel confident in knowing that it will be luxury at every level.

As I mentioned in my post a couple weeks ago, you can book your trip by yourself, but should you? These resorts in particular are a great example of why you should use the services of a travel specialist like myself. As I mentioned, each resort has its own personality. Let’s say you are a young couple, looking to have a great time with sun in the day and partying at night. You know you want to book in Jamaica but which of the 6 Sandals resorts should you pick? Maybe you narrow down to the ones with the pictures that look the best to you, but you get there and find out this resort’s personality is that of a quiet, relaxing retreat with primarily older couples.
Also, once you do pick your resort, what room do you get? You could spend hours reading through all the different levels and room types and still not be totally sure what is the right one for you. There are little nuances to each, and without making a detailed list to compare and contrast, you may not be totally sure which one is right for you.
